Welcome to The Hiking Spot

Back in 2003 I got interested in hiking. My first hike was on the Black Forest Trail in Lycoming county Pennsylvania. As the years passed I hiked more and more trails in and around central Pennsylvania. As a way to share my passion of hiking for others I began a website called PAHikes.com. On this website I detail all the hikes that I've done. I offer other hikers a virtual hike of the trail with my trail narratives and pictures that I share. I also provide detailed hike statistics such as hiking distance and trailhead coordinates, as well as topographical maps of my hikes, for those that are inspired to get out and hike the trail themselves.

Throughout my hiking experiences I have discovered that hiking gear can make a large impact on how much you enjoy the hike. Proper gear accents the hiking experience while poor gear detracts from it. I feel that to get the most our of a hike you need to have good gear that you can rely on as well as aides and enhances a hike.

Thus the birth of The Hiking Spot. This is a place where you can find quality gear to help enhance your hiking experience. Each product listed on this website allows you, the customer, to rate a product as well as leave feedback for all to view.
