The Loyalsock Trail is a footpath which begins on route PA87 and end along route US220. The trail follows mountain ridges and streams as it travels though the woods on footpaths, old logging roads, and abandoned railroad grades. It is a little over 59 miles in distance and passes through state forests for most of its length. This 42 page guide gives you step-by-step directions for hiking the Loyalsock Trail. Points of interest, sudden changes in the trail, as well as water sources and potential campsites are detailed in the guide.
